Background - Elaine Loughlin, LCSW
Elaine has maintained a private practice for over 25 years. During that time she taught and supervised graduate students and lectured throughout the greater Seattle region on assessment and treatment of complex trauma. Her most recent teaching experience has been at the University of Washington School of Social Work. Elaine has had intensive training in family and couples therapy and in the dynamics of parent-child attachment and is a certified Circle of Security parent educator. Most recently, she completed a graduate certificate program in infant mental health at the University of Washington, an academic and practice program focusing on assessment and intervention with infants, toddlers, preschoolers and their families. She is a level 1 and 2 trained EMDR therapist, who has undertaken extensive supervision and training in the use of EMDR in the treatment of a broad range of symptoms including trauma and its effects.
